If you are a fashion devotee, it must have been clear that Omar Madkour, Founder of Cairo Fashion Festival (CFF), along with the whole CFF team, won't rest until they return Cairo to its former glory as a leading fashion capital and put our faith back in fashion. With just a handful of seasons, CFF has become an international platform where the finest local and international fashion designers showcase the best of their designs.

This season, for Fall/Winter '15/16, the festival started with an all-day long bazaar full of handmade merchandise; games and giveaways from international brands and sponsors like Levis, Coquette, Vans and Crystal Asfour; an artistic one of a kind fashion presentation from Slickr with music, dance and masked models presenting the collections of Indian Elephant, Nermine Safwat, Banjaraline and Ultimate Fashion Wear; the day buzzed with live entertainment, shows, and finally, the red carpet extravaganza and runways. Hosted by the ever-so-beautiful Tara Emad and the talented Sherif Noureldin at CFC's ''The Marquee''; the couple lit up the vast stage with wit, humor and style. Needless to say, Tara was stunning as always - the striking model wore two glamorous outfits by standout fashion designers Norine Farah and Esmeralda Radwan.

The runway was the epitome of bold designs from top designers like Threads, Esmeralda Radwan, Sami Designs, Ghada Hashash and Sherine Hussein; all dazzling the attendees with an explosion of fabulous cuts, fringes, leather, patterns and prints in vivid colors and turning the stage into a pure fashion haven.

Just when you think it couldn't possibly get any better, lifestyle idol and host of the 'Ana wi Heya show ''Sherine Hamady'', dressed as a Greek goddess in white and gold, got us all on the edge of our seats and kept us there with ''The Ultimate Fashion Battle'' where two designers compete, and battle time, to transform simple everyday items that every girl has in her closet into several knockout outfits.

The closing ceremony featured an emotional showcasing of Aya Afify's last fall/winter collection, in the loving memory of the talented designer who has passed away earlier this year.

It's definitely hard to find an all-fashion day in Egypt, but Cairo Fashion Festival knows how to do it it so well. Rumor has it that the founders have some plans of expanding the Festival into a Fashion weekend, and we certainly can't wait!
