A Celebration of Talents Light up the 3rd Season of " Our Wedding Carnival " Egypt’s Wedding Destination.
Cairo, April 3rd and 4th - In a magical underwater setting, the third season of ‘Our Wedding Carnival’ (OWC3) launched at the Semiramis Intercontinental Cairo Hotel, showcasing the best and the most celebrated trends in the wedding extravaganza in Egypt.
Over the two-day event OWC3 featured 10 live shows, presenting the best in the wedding industry through the participation of over 100 exhibitors.
On the first day, Egypt’s prominent make-up artist Mohamed Abdel Hamid worked his magic in a live airbrush show for the first time in Egypt; while Lebanese hairstylist Kriss, who is celebrating 15 years of success in Egypt, explored different bridal hairstyles using his artistry and passion to create endless beauty.
Six Fashion shows by some of the best talents in the business lit up OWC3 catwalk over the two-day event. From Egypt, the acclaimed fashion designer and official sponsor of Miss Egypt’s beauty pageant, Bahig Hussein, showcased his ‘Dancing with the Stars’ collection exclusively at the OWC3. Hussein commented that he’s very pleased with his participation this season. “The collection is inspired from the most popular dances throughout history” he added.
International Lebanese fashion designer Hadi Katra introduced his bridal collection for the first time in Egypt. Elegance, style and originality underlined Katra’s deigns, introducing a unique mixture of glamour, simplicity, and bold creativity.
The leading Spanish brand, Rosa Clara, showcased its romantic silhouettes and stunning details in a variety of figure flattering styles. Dreamy ball gowns, luxurious bridal gown collection with the finest couture fabrics. Elena Teindas, Rosa Clara Retail and Expansion Director asserted that they have just entered the Egyptian market; believing that they have a great opportunity to position Rosa Clara as a leading wedding gowns’ brand.
On the second day of OWC3, Syrian fashion designers Antar and Lahmouni demonstrated a true talent complemented by the distinguished art of broidery, which Syria is famous for, through a dazzling show of Wedding and cocktail dresses.
OWC3 also launched aspiring artist Walaa Amin’s first Blanche Maison de Couture collection, in addition to a beautiful collection of wedding dresses by the well established and talented Marie Louis.
Commenting on L’azurde’s participation, Rasha Hassan, Egypt Marketing Manager said: “We are very pleased to participate in OWC3. L’azurde is a leading jewelry producer in Egypt. We wanted to showcase our collection at the right venue and with the right partners”.
The two-day spectacle was fused by the tunes of DJ Khaled Abd El Rahman and the stunning fire show of Artist Ahmed Essam. The award ceremony rewarded the sponsors including L’Oreal Paris, Jumia, Flickers by Dina Bakr, Khattab, My First HD by Ashraf Hamed, Graw Photography and Artlight, while the raffle drew smiles on many faces, announcing the successful finale of another season of OWC.
Representing L’Oreal Paris, Aya Khalil pointed out that: “We have chosen OWC3 to showcase a new product called ‘extraordinary oil range’ customized for the Arab women. This is the perfect venue for us to reach out to our target women-base”. While Jumia’s Marketing Manager, Tamer El-Fiky said: “What we are trying to establish in OWC3 is the convenience of having a one-shop stop. With the long endless ‘to do’ list, I believe what Jumia offers can definitely help to ease the stress”.
Sherif Ashraf, Managing Director of Red Square and organizer of OWC, said: “We are very pleased with the raving success of this season of OWC. The flux of visitors was amazing and exceeded our expectations. Everyone who participated in this season definitely contributed to this success.”
The event concluded on a perfect note with the announcement of the 10 orphan brides whose wedding expense are sponsored for the first time this season by OWC3 in collaboration with ‘Benebny Hayah’ project whose Project Manager, Engineer Cherif Azzouz said: “We are very pleased with the realization of this initiative; and would like to thank Red Square team for choosing OWC3 as a platform to launch this initiative, and we are looking forward to future collaborations in the years to come”.
