The Italian Fashion week is just over, and with it, also all the parallel events of “Alta Roma Alta Moda” which attracted many designers from across the world. Indeed Rome, the capital of fashion, is “the place to be” to get the right visibility for new trends. Well known as the city of style and elegance, Italy has always welcomed international talents to exhibit their works here.
On 31 January, the historic St. Regis Grand Hotel hosted the 14th edition of the “World of Fashion”, directed by Nino Graziano Luca. “World of Fashion”, is an exclusive event that every year attracts journalists and celebrities from all over the globe to present their collections. A true unique event that speaks several languages and represents a bridge between different countries and cultures. It brings closer even countries which are apparently diverse on many aspects. It connects Eastern and Western to celebrate beauty and charm.
Once again Fashion, Art, Show have drawn our attention on the beauty of sharing. Indeed, it is by realizing of having the same passion for taste, quality and details, that all prejudices, and ideological human boundaries get immediately fragmented. Fashion gets a noble meaning as intercultural dialogue between East and West, breaking up with preconceptions that see it as ephemeral and superficial. Fashion becomes unexpectedly an hymn to revive the good intentions, where intercultural interaction and exchange are ideally the path to personal and professional enrichment.
A unique intercultural event that gathered together Egitto, Libia, Dubai, Qatar, Libano, Arabia Saudita, Emirati Arabi Uniti, Giordania, Bahrain, Kuwait, Colombia, Paraguay, Argentina, Albania, Cipro, Bulgaria, Thailandia, Sudafrica, Tunisia, China and Italy. Many ambassadors and international guests attended the event.
As in the previous years, lots of designers such as Toufic Hatab, Xu Ye Juan, Nabil Younes, Awatif Alhai, received the important “World of Fashion Award” as recognition for their works. On the catwalk lots of colors for next spring/summer season. Toufic Hatab proposed pink, green in all their nuances. For Xu Ye Juan lots of blue, sparkling elements and geometric volumes. Nabil Younes presented a collection full of slight variations of whites, with cream and champagne shades. In contrast to that delicate combination of pale colors, Awatif Alhai chose gold, black, light transparences to exalt the sensuality and decorations that gave grace to the models’ hair. Alhai Awatif was given the award for this show, directly by Sheikh of Kuwait.
